I can't decide between a handheld shower and a regular shower head. Which do you recommend?

Without knowing the details of your bathing needs, it's difficult to make that call.

A shower head will usually provide more water pressure than the handheld version of the that model. Typically, a shower head is also less expensive than the handheld version because of the lack of additional accessories, such as hoses and mounts, needed for installation.

A handheld shower provides flexibility because it can easily be moved to focus in on any needed area.

However, there is a third alternative to purchasing either a shower head or handheld shower... buying both! With a shower arm diverter valve, like this one sold on ShowerStore.com, you can easily install both a shower head and wall-mounted handheld shower.

All you do is lift the knob and the water flow easily switches between a shower head and a handheld shower. It installs directly on your shower arm and has two outlets, one for attaching any standard shower head, the other for attaching any standard handheld shower hose. No tools required!

Question: I would like to exchange my new shower heads for a different color. What do I do?

Answer:

First, please check on-line at www.showerstore.com to ensure that we have the showerhead in the color you want.

If we do we will have to treat each transaction separately. You will need to return the unopened package for a refund and order the new showerhead.

Please email us at CustomerService@ShowerStore.com for shipping instructions.

Please include a copy of your original sales order or write the order number on the box. Once we receive the return we will process the refund to your credit card.

You can wait until you receive the refund to order the new showerhead or you can order it at any time - it's completely up to you.

Removing calcium build up from a shower head or hand held shower

For high calcium build up on a shower head or hand held shower head, unscrew the shower head from the shower arm or the hand held shower head from the shower hose. Soak the face of the shower head or hand held shower head overnight in a solution of 50% white vinegar/50% water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft, clean cloth. Brush off any remaining mineral deposits if necessary.

Caution: Never use harsh chemicals, heavy duty cleaners or abrasives when cleaning your shower head. They can ruin the finish.
